Gloria

Gloria is about identity, self, and pride. It takes its name from Gloria Steinem, feminist activist,

writer, and scholar; and its musical inspiration from the hymn on Gloria in Excelsis Deo. Gloria is

a reflection on the amazing women and trans people who have shaped my own humanity.

Through the piece, I try to tell a story of survival, struggle, and power, ultimately resulting in a

reverent prayer.
